How Typing Speed is Calculated (Character-based)
Formula Used:
Gross WPM = (Total Characters / 5) ÷ (Time / 60)
Net WPM = Gross WPM − (Incorrect Characters / 5) ÷ (Time / 60)
Accuracy = (Correct Characters ÷ Total Characters) × 100
Keys Per Hour = (Correct Characters ÷ Time) × 3600
